AUJOURD’HUI UN MOT QUE J’AI ECRIT

April 5, 2012 § 1 Comment

“Hinder” instead of “obstruct,”  “and also” instead of “equally”, “significant” instead of “important”.  One of the “joys” of working as an English-native speaker in a multilingual organisation where many people write in high-standard non-native English  is having to really think about what is a confusing error / eurospeak or franglais and what is a more nuanced or elegant way of phrasing something that justifies revising a colleagues draft: then explaining why.  It keeps me on my linguistic toes.
