Aujourd’hui tout ce qui brille

April 10, 2012 § Leave a comment

Little glitter on a very gloomy rainy day. Rather a question of what was not shining (my windows – awaiting a good clean).  If the sun had shone, the ripples on he pond would have caught the reflection, but instead they just rippled wind-ruffled. A man bent down to pick up fallen twigs and threw them water-wards to be gathered by the nest-building coots.  Coots (les foulques) pair for life and re-build their nests just off-shore every breeding season. Marking the passage of the years living by a usually glittering pond. Brining daily inner light from proximity to nature even on the most mundane grey days in urban Europolis.
